FAQ

Do I need prior fitness experience?

No way! We all have to start somewhere. I love welcoming first-timers and consider it an honor and an exciting responsibility to help folks take the first steps on their personal fitness journeys.

What are the benefits of home training?

Besides traffic and parking in the hyper-congested DMV? There are so many benefits of at-home personal training. Privacy in a judgment-free zone is probably the biggest thing. Clients do their best work and can achieve their goals quicker if they’re not focusing on the 50 other people around them. Peace and privacy increases focus, and focus leads to results. Also, no one likes waiting around for the powerlifting bro to finish using the equipment you want to use!

What kind of space and equipment do I need?

That depends on your goals. Different spaces work for different training goals. You don’t need a home gym, and we can accomplish a lot in a small space with limited equipment. In our initial consultation, we can discuss the kinds of equipment that would be helpful to help you reach your goals, and where/how you might acquire what you need.

How is Jon different from other trainers?

My basic philosophy: I believe that a positive and affirming approach to this work yields noticeable results and helps to build a bridge between physical and mental health. As a professional actor, I love collaboration and consider myself adaptable to many different environments. I like to work with my clients to figure out the training style they want, and tailer my coaching to their individual styles and needs.

How much does it cost?

One-hour training sessions range from $95-$120 for individuals, and $75-$100 (per person) for small groups, depending on location.

As someone who already had a fitness routine, I came into training thinking I would maintain what I'd started and experience similar results. Training with Jon exceeded my expectations, and I haven't looked back. Jon has dramatically improved my form and given me a new set of fitness goals to reach. Aside from the workout itself, the sessions are a ton of fun and have become the highlight of my week.
